&Tradition Mezcla JH19 side table, designed by Jaime Hayon, with a Nero Marquina marble top, brass central leg and burgundy base. The round table combines a compact marble top with a cylindrical central leg and broad circular base. The different materials and colours create a clear contrast between the dark marble, brass and burgundy base.

Tradition as a starting point for new design

&Tradition is a Danish design brand that connects historic designs with contemporary furniture and lighting collections. Based in Copenhagen, the brand brings together Scandinavian craftsmanship, a strong sensitivity to materials and a contemporary design language.

&Tradition was founded in Copenhagen in 2010 and deliberately builds a bridge between design history and contemporary design practices. The collection includes reissues of designs by figures such as Verner Panton and Jørn Utzon, alongside contemporary work by designers including Space Copenhagen, Anderssen & Voll and Hee Welling.

Its design language moves between Scandinavian simplicity and more sculptural, expressive forms, with particular attention to proportion, colour and tactility. Furniture, lighting and objects are crafted from a wide range of materials, including wood, stone, metal, glass, textiles and recycled plastics.

By placing historic designs alongside new collections, &Tradition creates a layered whole in which different generations and design perspectives enter into a natural dialogue.
