Verpan Pantop Ø23 pendant lamp, designed by Verner Panton, with a burgundy metal shade. The lamp features a characteristic bell-shaped, widely flaring shade with the opening facing downwards. The shape provides direct downward lighting and gives the lamp its distinctive silhouette. The burgundy metal finish adds a strong colour accent to the design.

Colour, form and light as a spatial experience

VERPAN is a Danish design brand that preserves, reissues and recontextualises the work of Verner Panton. The collection brings together his experimental approach to colour, form and material in lighting, furniture and objects with a distinctly sculptural character.

VERPAN works closely with Verner Panton Design AG to bring both well-known and rediscovered designs by Verner Panton back into production. His work broke with the more restrained Scandinavian tradition through a radical use of colour, geometry and new materials, with furniture and lighting often becoming part of a complete spatial experience.

The collection includes characteristic designs such as the sculptural VP Globe, the tactile Fun lighting series and the modular Welle seating elements.

Materials range from acrylic, plastic and chrome-plated steel to aluminium and mother-of-pearl shells, each used as a visible part of the overall expression.

In this way, VERPAN keeps Panton’s optimistic and experimental design world relevant, without diminishing the distinctive character of the original designs.
